it’s nothing it’s nothing… I JUST THINK IT’S FUNNY HOW while the peacock miraculous was broken gabriel didn’t touch it and despite expressing guilt about nathalie falling ill he still let HER be the one to use it whenever the peacock’s power was ‘needed’ for gabe’s plan that day. he never once offered to wear it in her place.
but the second the miraculous gets fixed? oh no nathalie is no longer necessary, turns out gabriel CAN wear the peacock miraculous now and he’s going to use it for the rest of the season in conjunction with the butterfly miraculous to make himself stronger.
and this is NOT salt, i actually love that this specific writing choice just further proves something about gabriel’s character; he may feel guilty about it afterward, but he will not hesitate to put his loved ones in harm’s way for his own personal gain.

Something so interesting to me is how kindness is always there in the background in SJM’s books, and she talks again and again about how even a tiny act of kindness can have world-changing results.
This is interesting because more than any character ever, she has always emphasized Elain’s kindness. This is not to say that no other character has ever been kind, just that it is highlighted as one of Elain’s cardinal traits. Because of this I find it kinda funny when people say that Elain has no personality/is unimportant/won’t get her own book, because of you expect SJM to give page time to any character, it’s gonna be the character who reflects an important theme in her writing.
Bonus: Interestingly (what am I, Rhys, constantly repeating that word 🤣🤣), it was Azriel who actually explicitly mentioned this theme when he tells Feyre the story of Nephelle.
Also this isn’t as explicitly stated but I think Azriel is also a very kind character. I could give other examples, but I will just leave this quote here (when Cassian and Azriel save Feyre and Lucien from Eris)
